Ellie: Nine Months

Thanksgiving is past, which means fall is here, and the holidays are close. It's going to be a busy few months. Our first seasonal outing was a trip with Crystal and Hendrix to a farm. We had bad luck and it was a crappy cold day. Luckily it stopped raining long enough to go out a pick some apples. I strapped Ellie on front of me and we went out to the fields.  The apples we amazing, crisp and juicy. Afterwards I got some good Fall pictures of her with some pumpkins.

Ellie: Nine months
Weight: 16 pounds
Length: 70 cm

Eat:
She has 3 meals a day. Breakfast is the best. She always finishes her cereal, and we've moved her up to flavoured varieties. Lunch time she gets her pureed pouches which she also enjoys. For dinner I've tried to feed her cut up and mashed versions of what we are eating, but she doesn't like solid food. It has to be either something that mashes up smooth, or I can hide chunks in her puree. She has another tooth coming in on top too, so biting food will hopefully get easier.

Sleep:
Not much change. Still sleeping through the night. I'm considering stopping the dream feed.

Play:
Once a week Darryl takes Ellie to a music class at the community centre. They also have a play area and a toy library we visit on weekends. She doesn't have any favourite toys, but does like playing with her balls. They all have different textures and she likes to chew on them. Ellie can stand and cruise around the furniture. She can stand on her own for a few seconds before falling.

Ellie: Eight Months

Ellie has become a very active baby. She has learned to crawl and stand up in the past month. She doesn't want to be held still and rather be one the floor. Even crawling isn't enough, she has to find the closest piece of furniture and use it to stand up. She babbles a lot now and will have conversations with us. Her favorite word is da-da. Some new experiences she has had is going to a cottage for a week with my parents ,and visiting Niagra Falls.

Ellie: 8 Months
Length
Weight: 16lb

Eat:

Ellie still has a bottle every 4 hours. But we has started introducing more foods. With cereal in the mornings, and puree at lunch and dinner. I make the food she eats at dinner but has store bought food at lunch. I've been trying to get her to eat real food. But she will spit out anything with chunks.

Sleep:

It's getting harder to get her to nap quietly now that she can stand up in her crib. She will immediately stand and cry the moment you lie her down. All I can do is let her cry for a few minutes then when she calms down go back in and lie her down again. She does pretty good at night and will sleep right through or only wake up a few times.

Play:
She will play with toys a little bit, but precedes to just grab anything she can from the tables. When in her playpen she will play with the toys but only if your not around, otherwise she just wants to stand up and watch us.
