Eliza: Two Months

At two months old Ellie already has changed so much from the newborn we took home from  the hospital. She can hold her head up when I pick her up, and she can tolerate sitting on her own without being held. She has become a happy smiley baby. She spends time sitting with the nursing pillow, and will have a few naps in her swing.

Ellie:
Weight: 9.1 pounds
Length: 53 cm

Sleep:
Her biggest nap is from 2 - 4, followed by two cat naps at 5 and 7. She should have a morning nap too around 11:30 - 12 but we tend to be lazy and sleep in, or hang out in bed until after 10. So she's not tired.  She's started to go to sleep alot better at night. Last month I had to put her to sleep beside me on the couch from 9am until 12am, but now she will fall asleep in my arms and I am able to transfer her to her cot without her waking up. At 12:30 when I got to bed I will nurse her and change her diaper then hope she will sleep until 7am. For now she wakes up around 4 am on most nights and I can nurse her back to sleep. It's been so nice to get away from bottles at night time.

Eating:
Her feeding schedule has remained the same as last month. I've continued to nurse before every bottle feed, and haven't had to increase the size of her bottles from 90ml. I'm hoping this means my milk supply is increseing to make up for any extra food she needs as she gets older. My supply has definally increased at night and I am able to exclusively nurse. Sometimes she will go from 12am to 1pm with no bottle.

Play:
We don't do tummy time as much as we should. I do hold her on my chest each day while reclined and she arches her back and lifts her head off of me. I've tried giving her rattles but she is not interested yet. She preferes to coo at us, and have mini conversations. She's pretty good at tracking objects, but we still need to work on it, as she preferes to look to her left side.
