I prefer working out on the weekends because the gym is less busy and I can spend more time on the equipment without worrying about taking too long, or sharing it with other people.
After you work out it's a good idea to intake some protein to help your muscles recover. This month in my urthbox I received a sample of protein powder. I don't like the taste of protein powder mixed with water or milk as a shake, so today I decided to make chocolate protein pancakes as my after workout meal.

These pancakes turned out fluffy and slightly sweet. The only thing I added when they were done was a little bit of honey on top, in replace of maple syrup.
