Lactation Recipes: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Breast feeding is hard. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I thought by almost 3 months I'd have it figured out.

I went to breastfeeding classes and learned as much as I could, but I was also prepared to use formula if I wasn't able to feed. What I didn't expect was this half way situation I'm in now.

Because of a c-section it took 2 weeks for my milk to come in, so she was drinking formula almost exclusively. With a lot of hard work I've managed to increase my milk supply to about 60ml per feed,  but now she needs more then that.  I've visited lactation consultants, and improved her latch, but the thing that helped the most was mother's milk tea.

So I started to research other foods that can help increase my supply. Most of the lactation recipes online contain 3 main ingredients, brewer's yeast, oats, and flax meal. I purchased these ingredients online and this is the first recipe I trie.

You can find the recipe on this website. It was very easy to follow and makes 12 large cookies. The we're soft and chewy, with a hint of cinnamon.
